ORCID

Open Researcher and Contributor ID

ORCID is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from other researchers. It is integrated with key research workflows such as grant submission and automatically links you to your professional activities and scholarly publications. ORCID ensures that your work is recognized.

The Research Library is a member of the US Government ORCID Consortium and therefore has access to ORCID API features, functionality, and technical support. The ORCID @ LANL website serves as a dashboard for LANL staff offering various services such as:

  • creating an ORCID for new users
  • connect an existing ORCID with the LANL dashboard
  • Retrieving, viewing, and editing ORCID profile information

These tools may find works associated with other researchers who share a similar name. Be sure to check and confirm each imported work.
